CSRD Data Hub is committed to transparency in the use of Artificial Intelligence. This page explains whether and how AI tools are used in the creation of our data and content.
CSRD/ESRS data is extracted from officially published CSRD sustainability reports of companies across 27 EU countries. The database currently covers 889 reports from 675+ companies, including 80,424 IG3 data points (up to 1,184 ESRS data points per company). Data collection is carried out manually and validated personally by the creator. AI tools may be used to assist with the initial extraction of large volumes of text — however, every individual data point is manually reviewed and approved.
The 600+ statistical tests (Pearson, Spearman, Chi², Mann-Whitney U) are conducted using established statistical software — not generative AI. Results are reproducible and methodologically transparent.
Charts are generated programmatically from structured data. These are data-driven visualisations, not AI-generated graphics.
The deep-dive analyses (e.g. "AI in Sustainability Reports", "Reporting Tools & Software") are based on manual research and systematic evaluation. AI tools may have been used to assist with text research and summarisation.
AI-assisted development tools were used in the creation of website content, technical implementation and design elements. All content is reviewed and approved before publication.
Our quality assurance process includes:
• Manual validation of every individual data point
• Cross-referencing with original sources (CSRD sustainability reports)
• Plausibility checks using statistical methods
• Regular review and updates
We encourage you to use our structured data in AI-powered analysis tools (see our AI page). Please keep in mind:
• The quality of AI outputs depends on the quality of the input data
• Our data is intended for analysis and comparison, not as the sole basis for decisions
• Please observe the licence terms in our Terms (§ 4 and § 9)
• When sharing data with third-party AI services, their privacy policies apply
